Catching Up on 2017

It is 6:30AM here in Arizona, about 52 degrees outside, and the sun is just starting to come up. The last few months have gone by so incredibly fast, and J and I have been so busy trying to get our work routines down pat – we’re getting there.

It has been SO long since I last wrote a post.. I swear each day I say to myself, “Oh I definitely will be able to sit down and write and edit and post…”, then I wake up and it is already the next day.

We are really loving Arizona. Now with it being 2018, it is officially go time for the wedding – November 3rd, 2018 will be here sooner than ever and that makes me so excited but so anxious and overwhelmed, as we have a whole lot to plan. We decided not to hire a wedding planner, so it’ll be just us and our families doing all the grunt work – it’ll really be wonderful!

I’m thinking of doing a wedding series. I would love to be able to document all the fun plans we make, what the challenges may be and the highlights of it all! As of January 1st, 2018, that is truly what is going to be on my mind all the time, up until November – here we go 🙂

2017 was a huge year for me. I got engaged, graduated college, became a nurse (yay!), moved to Arizona, and started my first big girl job at a hospital. As you can imagine, with everything that happened, I am just now starting to find time for myself – to actually do what this blog was intended for – to make me happy. To be totally honest, I am still trying to figure out new hobbies/things to do while I’m here in Arizona. Things are so different, all in good ways, but with new routines, work schedules, sleep schedules (I work the night shift so all my days and nights are very jumbled together) I am trying to find some time for myself, in the midst of all the change. But I’m excited to say, I am back better than ever, and have some fun ideas for the future. Here’s to new things and big changes, and cheers to being back on the blog!
